Aiden Markram collected three fours and a glorious straight six to reach 22* from 16 balls as the Lucknow Super Giants’ reached 60-2 in the Power Play after the Gujarat Titans chose to bowl first in their Tata IPL match at the Bharat Ratna Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday afternoon.
Mitch Marsh’s stay at the crease was short and sweet with a six and a four in his 11 from fours balls while captain Rishabh Pant added two fours and a six in his 18 from 11 deliveries before both mistimed drives to mid on and mid off.
Kagiso Rabada claimed the wicket of Australia’s T20 captain but conceded 34 from his opening two overs while Indian regular, Mohammad Siraj, enjoyed a fine Power Play with figures of 3-0-12-1.
