Young Italian climber Giulio Pellizzari secured overall victory at the Tour of the Alps on Friday after winning the fifth and final stage.
The 22-year-old broke clear on the final climb to ride solo to victory, with former Tour de France winner Egan Bernal coming home in second to also take second place overall from his Ineos Grenadiers teammate Thymen Arensman, who was fourth on the day and finished third in the final standings.
Red Bull-Bora Hansgrohe's Pellizzari is one of the most promising young climbers of his generation.

This was his first professional stage race victory having finished third earlier this year at Tirreno-Adriatico and the Tour of the Valencia Community.
He also came sixth at both the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana last year.
He finished 40 seconds clear of Bernal overall, having won two stages this week, with Arensman a further 10 seconds back.
Pellizzari is due to lead his team at next month's Giro, where he will be one of the main challengers to two-time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard.
