With another round of the Motsepe Foundation Championship on the way, Cape Town City will hope to get back to winning ways while Milford FC and Casric Stars continue their push for automatic promotion hopes.
To begin with Cape Town City will take on Black Leopards on Tuesday afternoon following a string of negative results in the last couple of weeks.
Amid a poor run of results, City slumped to fifth position after going on a three-match winless streak that included draws against Milford and Venda Football Academy respectively. In addition to their recent results, City also recorded a 3-1 defeat against Highbury on 13 March.
The Citizens have now accumulated 37 points from 22 matches and are two points adrift of the Promotion play-off zone.
Milford, who currently occupy top spot in the league, have accumulated 40 points from 22 games so far. The log leaders will thus take on Casric Stars on Wednesday evening and could make it two wins on the spin following their 5-0 demolition of Baroka FC last time out.
Casric, who are in fourth position and two points away from the top, secured a convincing 4-0 win against Kruger United in their most recent league tie, sitting on 38 points. Both sides head into their next game on a run of inconsistent results having recorded two wins in their previous handful of Motsepe Foundation Championship fixtures, respectively.
Then, at the lower end of the log, 16th placed Baroka will face 14th positioned Midlands Wanderers on Tuesday afternoon.
Baroka face a serious threat of relegation this season after gathering just 18 points from 22 games so far.
Following losses to Hungry Lions and Milford, Baroka are three points from safety while Midlands Wanderers are likewise three points away from the drop zone after recording a draw against Black Leopards and a defeat to Hungry Lions in their previous two league encounters.
