In their bid to avoid relegation from the Betway Premiership, Magesi gained much-needed points during a clinical 3-0 victory over Marumo Gallants at the Seshego Stadium on Tuesday night.
Although Gallants dominated possession throughout the 90 minutes, goals by Godfrey Mashigo, Motsie Matima and Thabang Sibanyoni gave Magesi only their third victory of the 2025/26 campaign.

Magesi were at the forefront of most action during the early exchanges, seen through attempts by Mcedi Vandala and Samuel Darpho.
While Magesi expressed their attacking intent, Gallants came close to breaking the deadlock in the sixth minute after Elvis Chipezeze saved Sekela Sithole’s shot from the centre of the box.
Gallants did little to trouble the Magesi backline midway through the first half, while the home side broke the deadlock in the 21st minute.
Moments after Vandala let off a saved shot in the middle of the box, Mashigo followed through with a right-footed effort from close range.
The visitors fought back during the closing stages of the first half with a series of goal attempts, most notably through Mohamed Doumbia and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.
While Doumbia saw a headed attempt go narrowly wide, Ndlondlo summoned Chipezeze into action once more with a shot from close quarters.
Magesi looked lively immediately after the restart and found success going forward, with shots by Kgothatso Mariba and Sifiso Luthuli respectively.
Gallants saw the bulk of the possession count during large parts of the second half, while Ndlondlo and Bheki Mabuza saw openings from range but were unable to make their chances count.
Magesi then doubled their advantage in the 69th minute after Matima finished with a timely header from close range following a corner.
The hosts came agonisingly close to adding a third in the 73rd minute after Vandala let off a shot from outside the area that Washington Arubi expertly saved.
Then, in a moment that sealed the deal for Magesi, Sibanyoni joined in on the fun by converting a right-footed shot inside the box in the 90th minute after a swift passing move en-route to goal.
The result moved Magesi onto 17 points in 16th position, just one point away from safety.
Meanwhile, Gallants remained on 18 points in 14th, level on points with Orbit College, who occupy the relegation playoff spot.
