Paulus Masehe is still searching for his first win at the helm of Sekhukhune United after they were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Marumo Gallants at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 25 April.
Babina Noko appeared to be heading for all three points after Tshepo Mokoane broke the deadlock 15 minutes from time, but Jaison Clifford stepped off the bench to score a dramatic equaliser in stoppage time.
The Limpopo outfit remain in fifth place, seven points adrift of the top three with four games left to play. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa leapfrogged Magesi into 14th position courtesy of the vital point they earned in Polokwane.
Masehe kicked off his tenure with a 3-1 defeat to Stellenbosch on 17 April after Eric Tinkler was sacked in the wake of his side's 1-0 win over Dikwena tsa Meetse four days earlier, although the club only confirmed his departure on Friday.
Meanwhile, Gallants had been dragged into the relegation quagmire on the back of a five-match winless run, which left them level with rock-bottom Orbit College on 20 points.
The first half didn't provide much excitement, with the hosts going closest to opening the scoring when Keletso Makgalwa won back possession in the final third and teed up Bright Ndlovu, who was unable to beat Kagiso Mlambo from close range.
Trevor Mathiane's side made a bright start to the second half and came within inches of finding the opener on 50 minutes, but Phillip Ndlondlo saw his header strike both uprights before the danger was cleared.
The woodwork then came to Mlambo's rescue as Thabang Monare lined up a shot from long range that rattled the frame of the goal.
However, the breakthrough finally came on 75 minutes, thanks to some good work from Mokoane, who pounced on a loose ball inside the box and rounded Mlambo before tucking home into an open net.
Sekhukhune's hopes of an 11th win this season were cruelly dashed in the first minute of stoppage time, though, as Clifford produced a clinical finish on the volley to clinch a share of the spoils for Gallants.
